what makes us excited

In the world of photography and video, the true essence of great images often lies not in posed perfection, but in the authenticity of sincere moments. I workd as an educator for many years, and I learned to shoot images by documenting the learners who came into my classes. Many of them didn't know they were beautiful, and special, and I learned to use a camera to be a mirror for them to see that about themselves.

As I now make pictures at weddings and for people seeking headshots and portraits that tell their story and that share their beauty, I am still trying to be that mirror for them to see how marvelous they are. Through the last 16 years, my mission is clear: to find and frame beauty in its most honest form, inviting viewers to appreciate the world through a lens of sincerity.

Weddings/Engagement

Our wedding and engagement photography service offers couples a unique blend of stunning visual storytelling and expert wedding planning assistance. From intimate engagements to elaborate wedding celebrations, we are dedicated to preserving your cherished moments.

In addition to our photography packages, which start at $500 for small weddings, we also offer video packages and some day-of wedding planning.

Personal Projects

Personal projects are essential for artists, particularly for wedding and portrait photographers, as they provide an invaluable opportunity to explore creativity. I engage in personal work because it allows me to experiment with new techniques, styles, and concepts, which make me a better image-maker for my clients.

But there is also the added benefit that looking at my projects lets prospective clients know what makes me tick, what drives who I am. Weddings and portrait sessions are deeply personal if done right. Here are a couple projects that let you know who I am to see if I am the right fit for you.

The Dancer Project

This project seeks to explore the intersection of dance and visual storytelling through captivating portraits of dancers. By capturing the essence of each dancer's unique movement and personality, the portraits aim to convey the stories behind their art, revealing the emotions, struggles, and triumphs that define their journey. Each photograph serves not only as a representation of a dancer but as a narrative device that invites viewers to delve deeper into the world of dance. Educators 4 Equity

In a transformative project dedicated to highlighting the vital contributions of educators committed to social equity and diversity, we embarked on a journey to create a series of portraits that capture their essence and impact. Each portrait will not only showcase the individuality of these remarkable educators but also narrate their inspiring stories of advocacy and change. By using various artistic mediums, we aim to emphasize the skills and dedication these individuals bring to their classrooms and communities, fostering inclusive environments for all students. The project will also engage the community through workshops and discussions, encouraging dialogue about the importance of diversity in education. Ultimately, our goal is to celebrate these champions of equity, illuminating their role in shaping a brighter, more inclusive future for generations to come.

As mentioned above, I am an educator by training, and I discovered a love og photos through that work. As a result, I am really interested in talking about "second" or third or fourth acts of people's lives.
